In looking for my Rowe family and Knowing there is a connection somewhere- Stainbacks, Browns etc. A Mountcastle was I believe a groomsman in my grgrandmothers wedding in Halifax Co. N.C. the Rowe she was marrying from Richmond and just yesterday I found them.
Richmond 1899Mountcastles-Burton H. Laborer,Frances S. sign writer, Burton G. Poindexter and Denoon clerk, George C. livery stable,
George P. tinner, John R. livery stable, Joesph T. boilermaker,Stanley J.,Mrs. Mary A., Oliver M.& Co., Th. D., Th.W., Wm. A.
My connection may be that my Hannah Fairlamb wife of John L.Rowe mother of my grgrandfather Herbert G.Rowe/Annie Lou Stainback, was an Allen,as were the cousins of the Stainbacks. Annie Lous Father Peter N. Stainback was the son of William Stainback,Wm and his twin John married Mason girls, Mary and Indianna, they had also a sister Eliza. Dont know if this has any bearing but thought I'd throw it out there. Bev
