Lamoille County, VT, shares the Washington County, Vermont, southern border. Jan

"Jabez MOWER, Orderly Sergeant, of Calais, Washington County, VT, volunteered to go to Plattsburgh, [NY], September, 1814, and served 8 days in Capt. Gideon Wheelock's Company."

"John MOWER.
Served in 3 Regt. (Williams') Vt. Militia."

"Thomas MOWER, of Barre, Washington County, Vt., volunteered to go to Plattsburgh, [NY], September, 1814, and served 9 days in Capt. Warren Ellis' Company. Ref: Book 52, AGO Pages 227 and 242."
