I have been researching my father-in-laws family for several years. He is descended from the Moyle family via Jane E. Moyle (daughter of John & Jane Moyle)who married Benjamin Richards in 1852 in Cornwall, England.Jane is his gr-grandmother.The inforamtion I had on her family indicated she had a brother named Josiah who was b. in 1846.I would be interested in sharing any info with you that I have on this line and maybe some of your information can fill in a few blanks for me as well.
Someone sent me additional information on this line which connected this Josiah to the Dickhous family -- which is a line on my mother's side.It is so strange to find this connection because my father-in-law is the only member of his family to live in the State of Washington (or so we thought!) until this point.
John & Margarete had 4 children.
1.Margaret MEKKES b. 1879 in Bronigen, Gronigen, Netherlands d. 8 Mar 1975 Hemet, Riverside, California. She m. 14 Aug 1899 in Tacoma, Pierce Co, Washington to George SUMMERS.They had one daughter, Frances Marie SUMMERS b. 1911 Seattle, King Co, Washington who m. Louis Henry DICKHOUS.They had 5 children.Frances d. 1997 in Shedd, Linn Co, Oregon. Louis d. Jan 1961 in Oregon.
