Charles H. Franks, 69, died May 10, 2008, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a native and life long resident of Corinth. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he served as treasurer. He retired from Big Red Supply Company as a salesman following his association with Barnes and Wallace Supply Company for 27 years. After retirement he was a part-time sales associate with the Alcorn County Co-op. He also enjoyed real-estate and gardening.
Services were at McPeters Chapel with burial in Henry Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife of 48 years Wilma W. Franks of Corinth; one son, Steven E. Franks and a friend Pam Woodruff; one daughter, Debbie Franks (Harold Jr.) Irwin of Guys, Tenn.; one brother, Donald Franks of Corinth; four sisters, Allie Sue Spencer, Mary Lindsey, Diane Ford and Nancy McCarly all of Corinth; sisters-in-law, Martha Feiser, Donna Lambert; brothers-in-law, Frank Waller, George Waller and Morris Waller; three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. and Minnie Goodman Franks; one brother, Larry Franks; sisters, Shirley Franks, Lybil Ivy; brother-in-law, John David Waller.
