Pauline Skelton Boyd, 90, died June 6, 2008, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a member of Tate Baptist Church and a secretary for Union University in Jackson, Tenn., Second Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn., and Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson, Tenn. She was a member of the ABC’s and Senior Adult Choir at Tate Baptist Church. She did volunteer mission work with Southern Baptist Convention in Atlanta, Ga., Houston, Texas, New Orleans, La., and Clarksville.
Services were at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Corinth with burial at the Forrest Memorial Park.
Survivors included one son, Dr. Tom Boyd (Mary) of Laguna Vista, Texas; one daughter, Cindy Steen (Don) of Corinth; one sister, Ruth Witherington (the Rev. Jim Witherington) of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Spurgeon Frank Boyd; her parents, Everett Spencer and Naomi Allen Skelton; three sisters, Catherine Skelton, Edith Oliver and Jo Helen Yeager.
