Martha Trimble, 87, died June 22, 2008, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. She was an Alcorn County native. She was a lifelong member of Salem Christian Church and retired from Corinth Manufacturing Company. She enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers, but she was best known for her fishing.
Services were at Salem Christian Church with burial at Salem Cemetery. McPeters Funeral Directors of Corinth was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included one son, Eddie Trimble (June) of Pickwick, Tenn.; two daughters, Linda Trimble Lindsey of Lorain, Ohio, and Gayle Trimble Mask of Corinth; 10 grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Bud” Trimble; one daughter, Fay Trimble Waldon; one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Lindsey Stidham; two brothers, Grady Johnston and Billy Johnston; her parents, Edgar Porter and Eurelline Pearl Jobe Johnston.
