Rubye Crawford Simpson, 87, died June 22, 2008, at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Corinth. She was a retired employee of the Wurlitzer Company. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She assisted her son, Stan, with deliveries in his florist business. She was a woman of great strength, always caring for others. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching and her birds.
Services were at McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Henry Cemetery.
Survivors included one son, Stan Simpson of Jackson, Tenn.; two daughters, Sherry Flanders (A.J.) and Sandra Simpson, both of Corinth; her lifelong friend, Margaret Galyean of St. Mary's, Ga.; grandchildren); great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Lowell "Pug" Simpson; a brother, J.T. Crawford; three sisters, Nellie Sue Umphers, Juanita Galyean and Mary Alice Morgan.
