James Moses Gant, 38, died June 29, 2008, at his residence. He was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and he worked at Caterpillar Corporation for 15 years. He trained horses. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed training horses, fishing with his dad and hunting. He loved playing football and was an excellent high school football player. He enjoyed spending time with his boys.
Services were at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with burial at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home of Corinth was in charge of the arrangements
Survivors included his wife, Crystal Gant of Corinth; two sons, Adrian Isaac Gant of Miami, Fla., and James Memphiss Kaiden Gant of Corinth; his parents, Bill O. and Janie Gant of Corinth; one sister, Tammy Gant Hamlin, (Ronald Putt) of Corinth; two nephews; two nieces; several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Kenyon Gant; his paternal grandparents, W.R. and Jewel Gant; his maternal grandparents, Dupree and Lucille Barker; two nephews, Josh Gant and Tyler Gant Hamlin.
