Horace V. Ellis, 55, died July 8, 2008, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ. He enjoyed country music, playing the bass guitar, fishing and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Services were at Magnolia Funeral Home with burial with military honors in Corinth National Cemetery.
Survivors included his companion of eight years, Ann Johnston; two sons, Kevin Ellis (Christy) and Dustin Ellis (Autumn), both of Corinth; two stepsons, Michael (Olivia) of Batesville and Matthew Johnston of Corinth; one stepdaughter, Paula (partner, Nerissa) of Tupelo; five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Payne Ellis, and his mother, Nancy Lee Thomas Ellis.
Pallbearers will be Military Honor Guard.
