Reedie Lou Duncan Murphy, 87, died July 9, 2008, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to gospel music, and being with her family and grandchildren.
Services were at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Survivors included one son, Rufus David Duncan Jr. (Roberta) of Rienzi; one daughter, Shirley Tutor (John) of Glen; three grandchildren, Wanda Melton (Jerry), Gary Duncan and Tammy Nichols (Randall); six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Little (Eva Mae) of Decatur and M.C. Little (Linda) of Jackson; two sisters, Christine Little of Jackson and Anna Bell Elmore (James) of Montgomery, Ala.; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Murphy; her father, Marcus Little; her mother, Betty Lou "Lousie" Little; two sisters, Opal Marcy (Merle) and Lillie Mae Harvey (Bobby); and the father of her children, Rufus David Duncan.
