E.J. Rumsey, 78, died July 17, 2008. He was born May 17, 1930, in Corinth. He was a Baptist, a farmer and a butcher.
Services were at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery.
Survivors included one son, Steve Rumsey (Terry) of Ripley; three daughters, Bobbie Cannon (David) of Ashland, Nancy Sanderson (Tommy) of Memphis and Jane Alsup (Daniel) of Ripley; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rumsey; and his parents, Arthur Rumsey and Vada Jones Rumsey.
