Elmer Reese Brown, 78, died July 21, 2008, at his home in Falkner. He was a retired police officer for the Greenville Police Department and a retired employee of the APAC Asphalt Plant. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church.
Services were at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with burial in Hopewell Cemetery in Walnut.
Survivors included his wife, Mary Katheryn Hughes Brown of Falkner; one daughter, Debbie Baggett (David) of Corinth; one son, Jerry Brown (Brenda) of West Monroe, La.; two brothers, Floyd Brown of Burleson, Texas, and Billy Brown of Rossville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoarse L. and Azalee Street Brown; a son, David Brown; and a sister, Mamie Nance.
