Ronald N. "Putt" Hamlin, 57, died July 19, 2008, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a member and trustee of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church where he was active with the Brotherhood, and he drove a bus and loved working on the bus projects. He worked for Intex for nine years and retired from UPS after 26 years.
Services were at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with burial at Wheeler Grove Church Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home of Corinth was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Tammy Jane Gant Hamlin of Corinth; one son, Ronson "Putter" Hamlin (Brandi) of Corinth; two grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Dale Hamlin (Carolyn) of Corinth; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Janie and Bill Gant, both of Corinth; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by one son, Tyler Gant Hamlin; his parents, Edward Dallas and Ruby Mae Bennett Hamlin; one brother, David Ellis Hamlin; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hamlin and Bob and Willie Barnett; two brothers-in-law, Billy Kenyon Gant and James Moses Gant.
