Robert Earl Green, 69, died July 14, 2008, at his home. He was a United Steel worker at U.S. Steel in St. Louis, Mo. He was a certified upholstery instructor, a licensed motorcycle mechanic in Cincinnati, Ohio, a heavy equipment operator and a licensed butcher in Nashville, Tenn. He was reclusive by nature, but highly protective of and affectionate to family and friends.
Services were at St. Mark M.B. Church. Burial was in Forrest Hill Cemetery. Grayson’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included one daughter, Maunakea S. Damron; two brothers, Herbert Dyer Jr. (Tommy) of Corinth and Eddie L. Dyer (Lee-Lee) of Florence, Ala.; two sisters, Diane Dyer Kelly (Mike) of Conway, S.C., and Mary Dyer Hodges of Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis Green and Haddie Iola Jones.
