Tony L. Basden, 41, died April 11, 2009, in Tippah County. He was a member and pastor of Tobes Chapel Pentecostal Church and a self employed roofer for 25 years. He loved to study his Bible, raise cattle, play baseball and basketball. He loved spending time with his family and friends at Church.
Services were at Biggersville Pentecostal Church with burial in the Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife of 23 years, Christina Basden of Rienzi; sons, Corey Basden and Wesley Basden (fiancé Marina), both of Rienzi; father, Walter Basden of Rienzi; sister, Tammy Talley (Kenny) of Kossuth; niece, Jennifer Talley; special nephew, Zachary Pierce; and special uncles, David Basden and Jerry Basden.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Basden; grandparents, Grady and Cordelia Basden and Guthro and Janie Parvin; and his mother and father-in-law, Brenda F. and Rayburn Chapman.
