Marion Floyd Jr., 53, died April 18, 2009, at his home. He loved his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed his dogs, fishing, and drinking coffee with his friends.
Services were at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church with burial in Forrest Hill Cemetery. Patterson Memorial Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Delbra Jean Floyd; three sons, Darnell Durr, Marrino Floyd and Marciano Floyd; one daughter, Amber Parker; one brother, George (Sylver) Floyd; 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Minnie Floyd; his brother, Willie D. Gardner; his sisters, Susie Mae Clark, Lucille Elliott, Mary E. Alexander and Lenora Simmons.
