Essie McLemore, 86, died May 6, 2009, in Corinth. She was a retired inspector for ITT Telecom, where she worked for many years. She was an accomplished woodworker who built many things including a kitchen island, gun cabinets and bookshelves. An avid fisherman, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, crafts and building things. She will be greatly missed by all.
Services were at McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Henry Cemetery.
Survivors included one son, James Eddie McLemore (Dianne) of Corinth; one daughter, Shelia Davis (Tommy) of Corinth; one sister, Sue Franks of Corinth; grandchildren, Toni McCalister, Jennifer Hollan, Anthony McLemore, Jessica Barbee and Michael Todd Davis; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “J.W.” McLemore; grandson, Brandon McLemore; five sisters, Gertrude Mink, Evie Galyean, Irene Jones, Polly Harwood and Maxine Brock; and her parents, Sam and Ester McAnally.
