J.C. McCrary, 85, died May 9, 2009, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of Foote Street Church of Christ and a retired distributor for Bowes Seal Fast for 37 years. He enjoyed helping people.
Services were at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial with military honors will follow in the Corinth National Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife of 63 years, Nelda Barry McCrary; daughter, Jaylene Whitehurst (Gerry) of Corinth; son, Tim McCrary (Cindy) of Huntsville, Ala.; Grandson, Seth Whitehurst (Heather); two step grandchildren, Bill and Holly McCormac; and great-granddaughter, Cadance Whitehurst.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Arnold and Ethel Meeks McCrary; one son, Stephen Jay McCrary; and a sister, Ottie Mae McCrary.
