I am searching for info on Dr. James K. Herman (James Knox Polk Herman 1845-1904) who was a prominent doctor in Kossuth, Mississippi until his death in 1904. He is buried in the Shiloh Presbyterian Cemetery near Kossuth. He served in Co. I, 9th Alabama Inf. and Co. K, 11th Alabama Cavalry during the Civil War. I need info and a photograph of him for a history that I am preparing of Co. I, 9th Alabama Infantry. He was the son of the first white child born in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Thanks for any help.
