Essie Mae Elliott Green, 68, died June 20, 2009, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She attended Easom High School and graduated from Jackson Merry High in Jackson, Tenn. She loved cooking and working hard. She loved her family dearly and her dogs.
Services were at St. Mark M.B. Church with Lamar Walker officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery. Grayson’s Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included two sons, Willie Green Jr. of Corinth and William Earl Green (Ann) of Indianapolis, Ind.; five daughters, Rachel B. Green, Muriel C. Taylor (Ira), Carmel D. Davis (Calvin) and Tunerular Yvette Green, all of Corinth, Sheryl Burton (Charles) of Finger, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 39 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Green Sr.; brothers, William Oliver, Elliott Morris, James Arthur, Elliott Morris; a sister, Mary Catherine Parham; his mother, Mary Willie Chambers, and his father, Authur Elliott and ; sister, Mary Catherine Parham.
