Looking for anyone researching the Stewarts (William, John, others?) who came to early Amite Co (before 1810) from Edgefield District, SC. John Stewart b.1800 SC married Winniford Holliday in 1820 in Amite County. They moved to Hinds Co., MS in the 1820s. John died in Victoria Co., TX in 1857. Winniford died in Omaha, Nebraska in 1891 (at age 91).
