I am kin to several families in Amite County, especially the Shurleys, Tyneses, Taylors, Huffs and many other intermarried families. My Great Grandfather was Fred Shurley from New Zion (north of Liberty). I am interested in messages from people who may have known some of my relatives or are my relatives. My great great grandparents were Homer and Ara (Taylor) Shurley and are buried in the Nunnery Cemetery north of Liberty.
