Looking for information on the parentage of DUNCAN KING, b.NC, d.1843 Amite Co., MS. One researcher presents a case that he might be a son of Duncan King of Bladen Co., NC, but so far documentation has not conclusively proven the link though it is tantalizing. Duncan married in 1825 to MARY (POLLY) TERRELL d/o Joseph & Anna Terrell of Amite. They had known children: John G. (1826-1920); James W. (1828-1856); Mary E. (1830; m.Westbrook); Joseph Duncan (1836-1916); Solomon T. (1839-1862); William A. (1843-1923). Duncan & Mary's family seem to have spread from Amite into Pike & Lincoln Cos. Interested also in any of Duncan's siblings. Not known if they were also born in NC (if in fact he does prove to be a s/o Duncan Sr) or MS, or, simply moved into MS with him.
