Looking for help on Bowlin family of Amite County.. I am not a descendant but they do connect with my DUCK family and some are buried in Bethel Baptist Cemetery were majority of my family are as well.
My interest is in the possible father of Guss Augusta Bowlin
b. 1--12-1880
d. 11-23-1962
His wife was Nettie Kirkland b. 1-13-1889, d. 7-31-1957.
From 1920 census I have five children listed. However, my main interest was first in Shirley Eugenia Bowlin that married George Duck.. I have her additional information and descendants.
Shirley's mother Nettie Kirkland was also a Duck descendant by way of COX family.. Anyways, glad to share what I have.. Hoping you can add somethin on Gus Augusta Bowlin's parents.
There is an E.I. Bowlin b. in 1860 that is buried at Bethel Baptist, that also has his wife Elizabeth next to him.. Suspect these are most likely parents of Guss Augusta Bowlin.
