Pleasant Hill Plantaion

I am looking for information regarding the fate of the family home on Pleasant Hill Plantation near Centreville, MS which was moved in the 1940's to make way for army Camp Van Dorn. Family stories say the house was moved by the government. The house was built by my ancestor, Littleton Capell in the 1830's. It would be a tremendous thrill to find out whatever happened to the lovely old home. One story is that it was used for "target practice"! Other family members dispute this. Whom could I contact for information? Am waiting to hear from the historian at Camp Van Dorn. If anyone out there has ever heard of the fate of the house, or could shed light, I would be very gratefull. Thank you-
