I recently was in Hickory Flat visiting local cemeteries,
searching for family gravesites. I found my grandfather's
(David Q.M. Taylor) in the Pine Grove Cemetery. I also
found my gggrandfather's Rece Howell there.
I was told that my grandmother (Sara HOWELL Taylor) was
supposed to be in the "Old" Hickory Flat Cemetery. I was
told that it was off Route 2 out of Hickory Flat. We
searched through the cemetery, but were unsuccessful.
I was told that the stone was partly obliterated - her
first name was no longer visible. It still had the
Taylor name, wife of David Taylor, and the date of death
5/19/19l0.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the names of those buried
in this old cemetery? My mother was only 4 when her mother died, so she had no memory of the location. She's gone now
too.
Any info would be appreciated.
