William E McAlister is the son of Andrew McAlister b. 9/16/1806 Anderson Co, SC. I would be interested in Mary's info as the only wife I am showing is Martha Barnett, however, all three appear to be possibily buried in Bryant Cemetary as there is also a Mary McAlister buried there.
Andrew (brother to my Samuel Mitchell McAlister Sr) married Mary Ann Humes on 11/29/1832. Mary Ann was b. 1812 d. 1856 and then married Elvira Price on 5/12/1868 Tippah Co MS. William was the last child of Mary Ann Humes.
Andrew McAlister was the son of Nathan McAlister b. 1/13/1783 Co Antrium, Ireland d. 5/13/1860 Tippah Co, MS and Isabella Mitchell b. 2/18/1785 Ireland d. 8/8/1835 Saulsbury, Hardeman Co, TN
Mary Ann Humes was the daughter of unknown Humes and Sarah Mitchell b. abt 1788-90 SC Sarah's parents were unknown Mitchell and unknown Bosman (Bozeman?). There is the possibility that Mary Ann's mother may be related to Nathan's wife, Isabella Mitchell as Sarah & Isabella's birth years are very close to each other. To date, I have no information on the Mitchell line.
Nathan McAlister's parents were Andrew McAlister b. abt 1752 Co Antrium Ireland d. bet. 5/12 and 8/22/1845 (at age 93) Anderson Co/Dist, SC. m. bef 1780 Ireland to Mary Ann Service b. bef abt 1760 Ireland d. bet 1835-1845 Anderson Co/Dist, SC
