Shelby cemetery records

I have just discovered that my gg-grandfather Frederick H. Groth died in Shelby, Bolivar Co. Mississippi on about June 30, 1897. My family has always thought he died somewhere in Louisiana and my grandfather searched and searched for his grave for years in the 1960's. Gramps was going to "bring Grandfather home and bury him with Grandma". Home was far away, in northeast Iowa. Sadly, my grandfather died 2 yrs. ago at the age of 99. He was never able to find where his grandfather died & was buried.

Frederick H. Groth apparently went south for some reason that has been lost to time, contracted malaria and died. I would like to carry on my grandfather's search and find Frederick Groth's grave. If possible I'd like to bring him home, to be buried with his wife. Can anyone help me? Perhaps someone with access to cemetery records in or around Shelby, Mississippi could tell me if he appears in any of those cemeteries. Any assistance will be appreciated.
Thank-you,
Sharyl Ferrall
