Searching for families of Benjamin Franklin GRAMMER, b. Aug 1842, m. prior to 1867, to Margaret Elizabeth RAY GRIZZEL, b. Jan 1838.
Margaret Elizabeth and Benjamin Franklin GRAMMER had the following children: Eliza Caroline, b. 1 Jan 1867, Pittsboro, Calhoun Co., MS, m. 7 Dec 1886, John Ransom GAYLE, at Pittsboro, Calhoun Co., MS; Charles S., b. ca. 1871; John Albert, b. ca. Sep 1874; and Henry Olan b. ca. Dec 1878.
Margaret Elizabeth was probably a RAY and was first married to a WC (?) GRIZZEL, who was with F Co., 4th MS Volunteers and died at Vicksburg. Margaret Elizabeth may have been called "Jane" but I don't know if that's true or not. Margaret Elizabeth and WC GRIZZEL had Sallie (Sarah), b. 1856; Elam (Joseph), b. 1858; and Tom (Samuel), b. 1860.
