Hi,
I am looking for the parents of Elizabeth Ely Jackson. She married L E Jackson on 11 June 1852 in Carroll County, MS.
I believe that L E is Littleton Jackson. I found them on the 1860 census in Calhoun County, MS married with several children. Some are Littleton's from a previous marriage. I believe that the youngest three might be Elizabeth's children, Martha, Jenny, and Eliza Jackson. Does anyone know about the Ely's in Carroll Cty.?
I then on a 1870 census find Martha, Sarah F(maybe Eliza). and Mary A(Jenny)Jackson living with James and Nancy Sims and their children in Smith County, MS. I believe that Sarah is my ggrandmother that marries Jesse Aycock and lives in Calhoun Cty. in 1880. Sarah is 14 years old on the 1870 census. Where are her parents? Is Nancy their sister? Please contact me if you can help.I believe that Littleton Jackson and Elizabeth in Calhoun county,MS are the parents of these girls who are the same girls from the 1860 census, but I have not found them with them or anything connecting them.
Anyway, all this to say, I have been looking high and low for Elizabeth Ely Jackson's parents. I would greatly appreciate any and all help on the Elys and Jacksons. Thank you for reading this and for your time, even if you can't help.
