Daniel "ADAIRE" was born about 1819 in Alabama. There is a small, rural farming community by the name of "Adair" found in Carroll Co., MS, not far from the community of Emory, MS. Emory is just across the county line in Holmes Co., MS. In 1860, the family of Daniel "ADAIRE" is listed in said Census for Police District 5, Carroll Co., MS. Also in 1860, the Post Office location is shown as "Emory Holmes County." In 1880, the family name is again listed as "ADAIRE" in the Census for nearby Black Hawk, Carroll Co., MS. Daniel Adaire may connect to nearby neighbors who are members of my family included in the 1860 Census: Samuel GOSS and Mahulda "Huldy or Huldie" White; James "SNIPUS" (SNIPES) and Francis "Fannie" GOSS. Family members from my family were previously from Bibb and Tuscaloosa Counties in Alabama. Any connections? These families may share an important historical link.
