Trying to learn about a Foster/Saxon marriage, probably late 1870's. They had a son, Tie E. Saxon b. 1881-1885. He moved to Hulbert, Cherokee County, OK around 1916/17 and lived there the rest of his life.

The Foster wife of this Saxon was a sister to Elmira Foster who married (1) a Howard and (2) Caswell Bray. There is a rumor that some of the Fosters raised some of the Howard children or vice versa.

Elmira Foster and the unknown sister who married the Saxon had a brother, James, born 1862. Unknown what happened to him after the 1880 census was taken.

16 June 1900 Houlka, Chickasaw County

John L. Howard 59 y/o, b. Dec 1840 AL, married 33 years

Ider, wife, 34 y/o, b. June 1865 in MS, married 20 years and had had 4 children with three living

Will, son 29 y/o, b. Apr 1871 in MS, both parents born in AL

Also in the house:

Saxon, Aavey, stepson, 19 y/o b. Nov 1886 in Ms, father born in AL, mother born in MS

Saxon, Bessie, step daughter y/o, born December 1891 in Ms, father b. AL, mother b. MS

This family is three doors down from:

Thomas T. Saxon, 43, Aug 1856, married 13 years, MS, GA, AL
Nannie, wife, 33, Oct 1866, md. 13 years, had had five children and two were living
James K., son, 18, May 1882
Elbar D., daughter, 9, July 1890
John D., son, Oct 1893, 6 y/o

Can anyone shed any light on who these people are in the census or does anyone know anything about the Foster/Saxon connection?
