I am seeking information about J.A. Howard who was listed in 1860 Chickasaw Co. Ms. Census. There is also a William Riley Howard in Chickasaw Co who was born in Tenn. just like J. A. He was about the age of an older brother. Wm. R. was born in 1827 and J. A. was born in 1831. J. A. also has a son named Wm. R. and I have found that men name their sons after their brothers. This makes tracing families a real challenge. I know that William Riley Howard had a brother named John A. Howard. Does anyone know if John A. Howard brother to William Riley Howard moved to Chickasaw Co. Ms. also?
