Looking for Info on David Reeder or Elizabeth Jeans. Trying to find their parents to grow my family tree. Here's what I know about them:
David Reeder - Born 12 Nov 1837 in Alabama, Died 9 Jan 1903 in Chickasaw County Mississippi. Married Elizabeth Jeans in 1865. Listed residence as Chickasaw, Mississippi in the 1870, 1880, and 1900 Census. Had 6 children with Elizabeth: Josephine, Elijah, Allis, Robert Lee, Cara B, and Ivy L. According to the 1880 census, his brother Elijah, born 1835 in Alabama, was living with him. There was a Joseph Reeder, 1822 AL, married to a Martha Jeans living in Chickasaw at the same time, this may have been his older brother. One census shows his father born in Alabama and another shows Ireland.
Elizabeth "Betty" Jeans - b.17 Feb 1839 in AL, d.24 Apr 1906 in Chickasaw MS. Married William McKnight(1834-1864) in 1857 in Chickasaw MS. The had 3 children: William R, Jesse L, and Masina Alice. After her 1st husband died she married David Reeder. Census states her father was born in Virginia.
David and Elizabeth are buried in the Holladay Cemetery in Houlka, Chickasaw, MS.
Any info on ther parents would be greatly appreciated, don't know which county in Alabama they are from
