Pat, I have been watching to see whether you would get an answer to your post, and then I let the time slip away. I know nothing about the school you mentioned, but I have been trying to get a handle on all schools in Choctaw and Montgomery at that period of time. My mother was born in 1900, at Sibleyton, near Kilmichael. I do not know where she attended school. Before she married my father, she taught somewhere, probably in that area, but I cannot find her in the 1920 census - anywhere. Our cousin taught at Emma Boston School, described by her in our family history as being between Kilmichael and Stewart. Later she taught at Eskridge Consolidated School before going to Duck Hill to teach. I have another cousin whose ancestor taught at a school in Choctaw, and the pictures of her and the school were on the Choctaw site (USGENWEB). I have not looked there recently. Could you possibly send me a copy of your list of students? Perhaps we can get a discussion started among people who know a little or a lot about where their ancestors attended school, or perhaps taught, in the area of Choctaw and Montgomery. I had two Williams brothers in Choctaw/Montgomery, one in Choctaw near Ackerman, and one in Noxubee. They moved to MS from Pickens AL about 1835. Gordon Smith Notify Administrator about this message?
