Seeking info. about the children of John Thomas & Mary "Ballard" Swindle who lived in Choctaw Co., Ms., around Fame, Bellefontaine, & Montevista. Their children were ; Sarah C., Mary, Nancy, Margaret, William A., Francis M., Thomas, Joel, Jasper, David C., Henry, and George W. Swindle. These children were born between 1829 - 1856, some in Alabama, and the youngest in Choctaw Co., Ms.! Sarah C. was born June 7, 1829, died May 31, 1924. Sarah married George Lorenzo Card. Nancy was born June 1847, she married George Washington Melton. Margaret was born 1856, married Jesse Samuel Melton, brother of George W. Melton. William A. Swindle born 1831, he married Malissa Easterwood, David C. was born Nov. 1840, he married Isabella Emily Jane Easterwood, she was a sister of Malissa E. Swindle, the wife of William A. Swindle! Joel Swindle was born Aug. 1, 1837, and died Apr. 20, 1922 in Hot Spring Co., Arkansas. He was buried at Grants Chapel Cemetery, near Bonnerdale, Arkansas! Joel married Matilda A. Grant and they had five children. Francis M. Swindle was born abt. 1833, and died before 1900 in Webster or Calhoun Co., Ms. He married Emily J. Hutchinson Dec. 13, 1855 in Noxubee Co., Ms.! They had 8 children, after Emily died abt. 1875, Francis married Drucilla J. Holland, and they two children. Anyone working on these line's please contact me llatham@peoplepc.com
