There has been some confusion in the book, Families of Choctaw County, Mississippi about which of the Susie Brights married Joseph H. Fox. It was Susannah “Susie” Bright (b. 1862), daughter of Keziah and Nehemiah Bright, who married Joseph H. Fox (b. 1853), son of Sarah and James D. Fox, on January 08, 1885 in Choctaw County. The couple made their home just west of McCurtain’s Creek Baptist Church. They were both buried in McCurtain’s Creek Cemetery. Their children were: James Hester, Victor Ethel, Ophia, Joseph, Thomas, “Zolie”, “Susie”, George, Shelby, Caldona and Coy.
