If you are still looking for Sandy, here's some information. There is a World War I draft registration for Sandy Williams, black male, born 1884, in Clarke county, Mississippi. Here is the information on it:
Sandy Williams, age 36, no month or day for birthday listed, birthyear 1884, current residence was Shubuta, native-born, occupation was farmer for self, wife Azalina Williams, tall height, medium build, brown eyes and black hair, no physical disfigurements, dated September 17, 1918.
Sandy is listed on the 1900 census in Clarke county, MS, Shubuta with parents John and Easter. Perhaps in 1910 he had gone out of the county to find work - lots of people from Clarke county did around that time. Some of my family from Clarke county went to work at the shipyards near Mobile between 1910 and 1920. Wish I could be more help.
