Wendy, thank you so very much for this information. It is so important to be able to dig up the roots of African Americans in this country. Unfortunately, it is a very hard task and requires much more diligence than trying to trace my caucasion forefathers & mothers.

Your information is very helpful to me. I have record of Sandy living in Clarke county in 1920 and 1930. But, could not find record of him before that time. On both of those census' he is listed as a farmer and his wife Azlina is listed as well.

Thank you for taking the time to help me put more of the pieces of this puzzle together.
