Researching the following family:
1860 Coahoma County Census (Friars Point, Ms) shows
Nicholas SHINGLOFF, carpenter, born about 1822 in GERMANY
Elvira, born LA.
Henry SHINGLOFF, age 9, born MS
Emma SHINGLOFF, age 3, born MS
Nicholas SHINGLOFF and Heinrich (Henry) NIX entered the states together around 1837. Both also appear on the 1850 Coahoma County Census.
Any information on EITHER would be appreciated!
