I'm trying to do generolgy on the Patton family I can't get
past John Willilam Patton b.1889 d.9-31-1952 Clarksdale MS.
But this is realy what I'm interesting,his son Kelly was shot &
killed in his hardware store in Clarksdale, I've heard two
stories, a mister Jimmy Franklin \w a gun tried to rob
Mr Patton, he also had a gun they shot and killed each
other. I've also heard that Mr Patton was trying to date one
of Mr Franklin's daughters. I also heard that Mr. Franklin
was a black man.
The two men died 12-3-1980, both were at Kimbro funeral
home and both buried at Lambert cemetery.
