Hi, Joy! Wonder if you've already found the 1850 Census for Coahoma Co. that shows family of Allen Tackett, wife Polly & 3 children. It shows Allen as age 45, b. TN, but the children were all born MS. And, the census index for 1840 shows there were Tackett's in Coahoma Co. then.

Also, have new info that Mary Tackett married in Phillips Co. AR to Retherford Lunsford about 1826.
