Dear Joan and others, Hello. I was just doing a "Google" search for Thomas SPENCER of Copiah County, Mississippi whom I found in the 1830 Copiah County, Mississippi a few doors away from my paternal 2nd great grandfather, Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER, born: 1795 in Maryland. I believe that this is the same Thomas SPENCER that I found buried in Hill Cemetery in Copiah County, Mississippi but can't tell if it is the same as mentioned in your message from 2003 on the SPENCER GENFORUM, as shown below that also mentions Copiah County, Mississippi and the Hill Cemetery there. I have personal interest in a possibility of some type of connection between this Thomas SPENCER and my 2nd great grandfather, Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER, as Jerry and his 2nd wife, Sarah "Sally" JENNINGS, were the parents of my paternal great grandfather and named him Spencer B. PARKER. He was born in 1859 in either Smith or Rankin County, Mississippi. Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER married at least once prior to marrying my 2nd great grandmother. He may have married a woman named Sarah BAZAR which is still speculative as I don't know with any certainty whether or not he was the Jeremiah PARKER who, in 1817 in Jefferson County, Mississippi, married a woman named Sarah BAZAR. My Jeremiah PARKER was born in 1795 in Maryland and then magically appears in 1830 Copiah County, Mississippi Census with his 1st unnamed wife and his unnamed children and in Copiah County again in the 1840 Census listed this time with my 2nd great grandmother then with a second set of children by his first unnamed wife or, perhaps, another wife inserted between the two when he appears again in the 1850 Smith County, MS census. By the 1870 Rankin County, MS census, Jeremiah PARKER is deceased and Sarah "Sally" JENNINGS is the head of the household. I am leaving this posted also on SPENCER GENFORUM in case this email address is no longer current for you. I greatly look forward to hearing from you.
