His parents were William Martin abot 1776 Edgefield Co., SC. died 8 Apr. 1845 Gallatin , Copiah Co., MS.Married about 1801 SC Nancy Adams born 18 Nov. 1785 Abbeyville Co.,SC. died 22 Nov. 1862 Martinville, MS both buried Martin Cemetery , Copiah Co., MS. seven children. E.J Perkins parents were Samuel Perkins 1782 Sc after 1825 Copiah Co., MS.married 1809 Liberty Co., GA. Penelope Ratcliff 1787 Craven Co.
