Horn Lake - MARK CHILDERS, 47, died May 30, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. with service to follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at Hernando Funeral Home. The family invites everyone to Mark's service dressed in casual attire. He is survived by his daughter, Stevie Ann Childers of Horn Lake; son, Steven Childers of Horn Lake; mother, Joyce Childers of Horn Lake; sisters, Mitzi Burden of Como and Michelle Gorham of Memphis, TN; brother, Mitchell Childers of Coldwater.
Olive Branch - ANNIE VIOLA GOODMAN, 94, widow of Ross Goodman, Sr., died May 28, 2008. Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. Monday, June 2 at Gillespie Funeral Home, and from 11 a.m. until service time at 12 noon Tuesday, June 3 at West Sandidge Road Church of Christ. Burial in Kileton Cemetery, Hernando, MS. Widow of Ross Goodman, Sr., she leaves four daughters, Annie R. Goodman and Remell Goodman, both of Olive Branch, Pearline Johnson of Memphis, TN and Lurline Cole of Byhalia; one son, Ross Goodman, Jr.. of Atlanta, GA; one grandson she reared, Carl Goodman of Olive Branch, and seven grandchildren.
Southaven ALTA MAE WARREN, 90, passed away May 30, 2008. She was a homemaker and member of Faith Temple Christian Church. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with services to follow at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 2 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando. Burial will be in Twin Oaks Memorial Garden, Southaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie Warren. She leaves her step-daughters, Phyllis Noland of Southaven and Patricia Brandon of Southwick, MA; half brother, J.B. Mathis of California and several nieces and nephews.
