Hernando - TOMMY R. LILES, 62, project manager for FedEx, died June 1, 2008 at his home in Hernando. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, with a graveside service at 3 p.m. in Rosehill Cemetery, Humboldt, TN. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hernando and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He leaves his wife of 18 years, Lea A. Liles; two daughters, Callea R. Liles and Brandy Ivy; two sons, Tyler G. Liles and Colin C. Liles; one brother, Jack W. Liles; two grandchildren, Mitchell Ivy and Cody Ivy.


Olive Branch - MARIE H. VOWELL, 78, joined her husband in Heaven June 1, 2008. Mrs. Vowell was a retired secretary for A. S. Barbro and Goldsmith’s department store. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday and funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, both at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Burial will follow in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred “Jay” Vowell. Mrs. Vowell is survived by her daughter, Debra Jean and Jerry Peters of Tarpon Springs, FL; her son, James “Tony” and Patricia R. Vowell of Olive Branch; three brothers, Otis Holmes, Edgar Holmes and Gene Holmes, all of Millington, TN; three grandchildren Mark, Clint and Nick Hadley, all formerly of Olive Branch; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaitlyn Hadley; and several nieces and nephews.
