Como - JOAN M. HOLDEN, 65, widow of Charles Holden, passed away June 12, 2008 atBaptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. Services willbe held at1 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Pate-JonesFuneral Home in Senatobia, MS. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Senatobia. Visitation will be at the funeralhome begining at 12 noon Saturday until service time. Mrs. Holden leaves her daughters, Angie Seymour (Don) of Dublin, GA and Tammy Holden of Como; her sisters, Ruth Durbin of Olive Branch, MS, Joyce Murdock (Fred) of Memphis, TN. and her brother, Robert Rikard (Marilyn) of Durham, NC; two grandchildren. Joan also leaves a special friend Bill Graham.
Olive Branch - LETHA L. NARO, 88, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed from this world into God's arms on Thursday, June 12, 2008. Letha was born in Faulkner, MS. Letha was preceded in death by her loving and caring husband of 65 years, William "Bill" J. Naro. She is survived by their sons, William Naro of Olive Branch, MS, Robert D. Naro of Olathe, KS, Wayne E. Naro and Ronald M. Naro both of Omaha, NE and Donald M. Naro of Olive Branch, MS; 13 grand-children; 12 great-grandchildren and sister, Lou Etta Street of Memphis. Letha was a retired Memphis City and Shelby County school teacher. Friends are invited to join the family in celebration and remembrance of Letha's life with visitation from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 15 at Forest Hill South. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 4043 Pleasant Hill Rd., Olive Branch, MS. Interment will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery, 2545 E. Holmes Rd. Memphis, TN 38118.
Horn Lake - BARRY PRESTAGE, 51, retired from MLGW, died June 12, 2008 in Horn Lake, MS. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, June 14, and funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15 at Hernando Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hernando Memorial Park. Mr. Prestage was a veteran of the U.S. Army, member of Lindenwood Christian Church, Memphis, and grew up in Fulton, MS. He leaves a daughter, Laura Prestage of Antioch, TN; his parents, Roy and Annie Prestage of Hernando; one sister, Debbie Hodges of Olive Branch; one brother, Tony Prestage of Hernando; two nephews, Adam Prestage of Brandon, MS and Chris Hodges of Olive Branch, MS.
