Independence - CAROLYN ANN WILLIAMS, 59, won her battle with cancer on June 21, 2008 in her home surrounded by family and friends. Visitation, Monday 5-8 p.m. and Services,Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando, MS. Burial in New Garden Cemetery, Wakefield. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jimmy Lee Williams, one daughter, Tracy (Glenn) Greer of Greenleaf, one son, James (Christie) Williams of Independence, one sister, Glenda (Dan) Williams of Byhalia, four grandchildren, Brandel, Brate, Waylon and Ayla Greer of Greenleaf, two stepgrandchildren, Shelby and Samantha Foster of Independence and one close cousin, Marilyn Shackleford of Independence. She also leaves many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mama Carol is also survived by many children she has babysat over the years along with many close friends.
