Nesbit - LINDA LEE RICE, 62, retired assistant principal-Hernando Middle School, died June 23, 2008 at her home in Nesbit. Service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, June 27 at First Presbyterian Church of Hernando. Burial will be in Hernando Memorial Park. Mrs. Rice was a 23 year resident of DeSoto County and taught in Hernando for 21 years. She was a member of Hernando Reformed Presbyterian Church. She received a Bachelor's degree from Memphis State University and a Master's degree from University of Mississippi. She leaves her husband, Steve Rice; two daughters, Beth Roach and husband, Mike of Hernando and Jennifer Griffin and husband, Ryan of Gulfport; two sons, Lee Rayburn and wife, Rebecca of Memphis, TN and Chris Rice and wife, Christi of Cedar Rapids, IA; one sister, Lisa Sanders of Caruthersville, MO; one brother, Levin Letner of Cape Girardeau, MO; five grandchildren, Jon, Ashton, Matthew, Alexandria and Anna Grace.
