CW MOORE, 96, born in Como, MS, resident of Memphis, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, passed away Sunday evening, June 29, 2008 at home; five days before his birthday, which would have been July 4th. He leaves two sons, Jim Moore and Tim Wilson; five daughters, Barbara Hill, Margaret Ann Dubois, Jane Carmon, Dorothy Fisher, and Doris Lyons; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by another son, Bert Wilson, 14 years ago, and his loving wife, Frances Moore, 2 years ago. He was a life-long member of the Carpenters Local Union No. 345 and a dedicated member to the former Peabody Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, and service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, both at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
